Balto UK offer a range of braces for cats and dogs. We ordered the Hock Brace for felines and was impressed with the build quality and how easily it was to apply. It has aluminum splints for support with fractures, tendon and ligament injuries. The splints can be removed and used as a compression brace for arthritis to increase blood flow.

Unfortunately Colin has the occasional urination accident while sleeping. We felt without having spares, Colin would not get the full benefit as this would leave him without support while the brace was being washed. We do not recommend for cats who are incontinent who do not have constant care. Never the less we do recommend this product. We wish we had found this product earlier on as Colin would have greatly benefited from it. They have great support and return policy.

We recommend purchasing the correct carrier for your senior cat based on their size and weight. You can purchase carriers with a soft bed which can be easily removed and washed. Also look out for carriers with multiple openings to help get your cat in and out with ease. If your cat gets travel sick we recommend wrapping the removable bed in training mats so that you can easily replace them during stops.

Feliway is a well known brand when it comes to helping your pets keep calm and relaxed through stressful times. They offer a range of pheromone products from diffusers to sprays. Diffusers are great during busy times at home or events that that include fireworks. Sprays are great for vet trips and travel.

As your cat gets older they will find it difficult to jump up onto your couch and bed or even climb the stairs as easily as they use to. They will start reaching out for you for help to get up to higher places. We recommend buying cushioned stairs to help them get to their comfort spots. They are made from foam and covered with a fabric which allows your cat to grip. The cover can be easily removed and washed. They can be pricey but well worth it and can be moved easily around your house.
